A stage of the Camino del Norte
One of the flattest stages on the Camino del Norte, this easy 19.5 km walk from Colombres to Llanes gains only 25 metres of ascent in total, making it an ideal recovery day or a gentle introduction to the Asturian coast. The path threads through the lush, hórreo-dotted countryside of eastern Asturias before arriving at Llanes, a handsome medieval port town still enclosed by sections of its ancient walls. The short distance and minimal effort leave ample time to explore Llanes' harbour and historic old quarter.
