A short and genuinely flat stage at 18.4 km on the Camino Francés — zero metres of ascent and only 77 m of descent — offering a welcome physical rest after two back-to-back long days on the meseta. The path follows a mostly straight dirt track across the Leonese plain, passing through the small village of Reliegos before reaching Mansilla de las Mulas, a walled market town that retains fragments of its medieval fortifications beside the Esla river. This is a good stage to recover energy for the approach to León.
