Ponte de Lima → Rubiães
A stage of the Camino Portugués
A short but noticeably uphill 17-kilometre stage on the Camino Portugués that climbs 300 metres as it heads north from the riverside town of Ponte de Lima toward the small hamlet of Rubiães. The path rises through eucalyptus and chestnut woodland across rolling hills, and the net ascent signals the end of the flat coastal plain and the start of hillier terrain as the Spanish border approaches.
