Rubiães → Tui
A stage of the Camino Portugués
This 19-kilometre stage on the Camino Portugués descends 253 metres as it winds through hilly countryside from Rubiães down to the border city of Tui. The path crosses rolling farmland and woodland before arriving at the fortified hilltop town of Tui, whose Romanesque cathedral and old quarter perch dramatically above the Miño river at the Spanish-Portuguese frontier. The bridge from Valença makes for a stirring final approach.
