Ferrol is the coastal city where the Camino Inglés begins, on the shore of its natural harbour in northern Galicia. As the starting point pilgrims can collect their credential and stamp before setting off, with full city services, accommodation and a working naval port. It is the classic launch point for the roughly hundred-kilometre walk to Santiago that qualifies for the Compostela.
