Carrión de los Condes → Terradillos de los Templarios
A stage of the Camino Francés
At 28.6 km this is one of the longer days on the Camino Francés, and one of the most exposed: the route crosses a nearly flat plateau with 85 m up and 65 m down, passing through very few villages and almost no shade for the better part of the day. Water and food must be carried from Carrión, as services are scarce along the way. The hamlet of Terradillos de los Templarios takes its name from the Knights Templar, who maintained a presence in this part of Castile during the medieval period.
