Ribadesella → Villaviciosa
A stage of the Camino del Norte
At 36.1 km, this is one of the longer moderate stages on the Camino del Norte, carrying pilgrims westward from the estuary town of Ribadesella into the cider heartland of Asturias and finishing in Villaviciosa. The elevation is well balanced — 149 metres up and 152 metres down — across gently rolling inland terrain dotted with apple orchards and small farming villages. An early start is advisable; the reward at the end is Villaviciosa, a historic town with a fine collegiate church and the region's celebrated cider culture.
