Grado → Salas
A stage of the Camino Primitivo
From Grado, a busy Asturian market town on the Nalón river, this 22-kilometre stage of the Camino Primitivo climbs 520 metres through the green hills and farmland of inland Asturias before descending to the historic town of Salas. The sustained ascents give the walk a moderate but genuinely hilly character, with wooded ridges, small villages, and the pastoral landscapes typical of this oldest of all pilgrim routes to Santiago.
